Stoicism and Politics – A virtual event by Plato’s Academy Centre

Plato’s Academy Centre is hosting a virtual event on Stoicism and Politics. Speakers include

  1. Pat McGeehan, member of the West Virginia House of Delegates (US), author of Stoicism and the Statehouse
  2. Dr. Tom Morris, author of The Stoic Art of Living and The Everyday Patriot
  3. Diane Kalen-Sukra, founder of the Kalen Academy civic leadership academy, author of Save Your City: How Toxic Culture Kills Community & What to Do About It
  4. Dr. Kai Whiting, Postdoctoral Researcher, Université catholique de Louvain, author of Being Better: Stoicism for a World Worth Living In.
  5. Prof. Matthew Sharpe, Associate Professor of philosophy in Melbourne, Australia, with a Masters in Public Policy. Author of The Other Enlightenment: Self-estrangement, Race, and Gender and The Times Will Suit Them: Postmodern Conservatism in Australia, as well as series coeditor of Thinkers and Politics.

The event will be hosted by Donald Robertson, the president of Plato’s Academy Centre and Anya Leonard, the founder and director of the Classical Wisdom website.
