What are Stoicism’s perspectives on sexuality and gender, and how could they enrich modern discussions of these issues, as well as feminism?
Together with our speakers Malin Grahn-Wilder (“How to Think About Gender? Insights from Ancient Stoicism”, University of Jyvaskylä, Finland), Dorothea Winter (“Stoic Feminism in the Digital Age: Social Media Between Affect and Reason”, Humanistische Hochschule Berlin, Germany), and Anne Gehrmann (“The Female Stoic”, Hamburg, Germany) we will address these questions.
Stoicon-X Hannover 2025 is an online event, and will be held partly in German and English. Participation is free of charge, however donations are possible.
