Kai Whiting will be joining us to discuss how Stoicism can help us explore and understand how to live well with disability. He will also examine what insight ancient Stoic principles can give us into how we can flourish even when faced with the toughest of physical and mental challenges.
Eve Riches will talk about how disabled people can apply Stoicism to care for themselves and their families and how they might, in turn, be cared for by others. We will then have a small panel discussion and time for questions and answers.
Kai Whiting is a researcher and lecturer based at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. He is the co-author of the book “Being Better: Stoicism for a World Worth living in”
