After three highly successful in-person events during 2022 and 2023, Stoicon-X Melbourne is set to return to the Centre for Greek Community and Culture on Saturday 26 October 2024.
Coinciding with global Stoic Week, this event will showcase speakers both local and international. Our keynote speaker (from the US, by Zoom) will be William O. Stephens, author of several books on Stoic themes and most recently co-translator, with Scott Aikin, of Epictetus. Australian philosopher Will Johncock, author of Beyond the Individual: Stoic Philosophy on Community and Connection (2023) will appear in person, to take part in interviews, panels, and to launch a new Stoic-related book! Copies will be available for sale and signing by Will.
As in previous events, the formal proceedings will be followed by an optional dinner at a local venue.
