In the northern hemisphere the leaves are turning to yellow and red, in southern climes there are green spring shoots, and it’s Stoicon season everywhere! Here’s a round-up of what’s coming up in a busy month for Modern Stoicism around the world.
Conversations with Modern Stoicism
October 7 @ 9 am – 10.30 am CDT
Online
Conversations with Modern Stoicism is an online event that brings together experts in philosophy and personal development to explore the ancient wisdom of Stoicism and its relevance to modern life.
We will open with introductions and a short presentation by our expert presenter.
After a short Q&A session, we will then break the audience into discussion groups with a question and topic. More information and registration here.
About the Presenter:
William Irvine is a leading contemporary thinker and writer on Stoicism. He is a (former) Professor of Philosophy at Wright State University and has written extensively on ancient Greek and Roman philosophy. Irvine’s book A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy (2009) has helped spark renewed popular and academic interest in Stoicism.
