Conversations with Modern Stoicism – Marcus Aurelius Birthday SPECIAL EVENT – with Rob Colter – April 26th

Robert S. Colter is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Wyoming. With a PhD from Northwestern University earned in 2001, Robert’s scholarly passions lie in the realms of Ancient Philosophy and Philosophical Pedagogy. Beyond his university engagements, he extends his philosophical reach by organizing an annual Stoic Camp open to the public and leading philosophy courses within Wyoming’s correctional facilities. When he’s not immersed in intellectual pursuits, Robert enjoys quality time with his family, the art of cooking, the pleasure of reading, and the tranquility of fly fishing in Wyoming’s stunning wilderness.

Conversations with Modern Stoicism is an interactive virtual gathering that provides an opportunity for Stoics around the world to connect, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue with each other.

The events feature a presentation from a respected speaker followed by multiple rounds of audience conversations via the Breakout Rooms feature in Zoom.

The events are lively, engaging opportunities to collaborate with others as you pursue your journey into philosophical Stoicism.
