Wisdom Unlocked is hosting a digital event on Justice in the Cosmopolis – Stoicism in Prisons.
Dr Kai Whiting and Santara Gonzalez are committed to taking Stoicism into the world, including some of its darkest corners, where people need it the most. With this aim in mind, they co-founded the non-profit organisation Wisdom Unlocked. In 2023 they will be taking Stoic teachings into US women’s prisons so that some of America’s most vulnerable people, including those in solitary confinement, can have their lives enriched by Stoic wisdom.
In order to raise funds for this endeavour, Wisdom Unlocked have teamed up with Tanner Campbell’s Practical Stoicism podcast to deliver a half-day live online event on Stoicism and justice. Speakers/panel members include Prof Chris Gill (University of Exeter), Chris Fisher (College of Stoic Philosophers), Prof William Stephens (Creighton College), Dr Will Johncock (UNSW), Brittany Polat (Founder of Stoicare) and Santara Gonzalez (Co-Founder of Wisdom Unlocked).
The event takes place on the 12th February 2023 and can be accessed here: https://as.wisdomunlocked.org
Event access is by donation only, starting at a minimum of 2 USD.
